Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one time and without the need to switch devices. They can also reduce space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. Its mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only problem is that the robot tends to crash into objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you precisely what the robot has done, where it is moving, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks need to be done like emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the water tank automatically, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last 136 mins in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you look at all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pick up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners may be unable to pick up.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its path in a way that is automatic and clean around the objects without stumbling.
It's the most expensive model I've tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and has just three physical buttons that include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I have discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these advanced features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40

The side brush also automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice feature that assists the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by excessive back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are limited to one task, the X40 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It can also be programmed to avoid areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is easy to use and intuitive The X40 has many smart features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it is finished.

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive on the market and comes with numerous additional features that set it apart. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is beneficial as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature has yet to be seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a great way of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There's an impressive amount of settings available, including the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options to customize the cleaning routine, and there are a lot of features that other robots do not have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of relying on a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on market, with metallic and white colors that looks classy and sophisticated. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and feels robust and well built. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
